Affiliates?

Hi - I'm trying to get to grips with using Google to my advantage.  I hear one can make money through linking yourself to other sites 'affiliates'?  In simple language - how does that work?  a) Can one really make money this way? b) how? Anyone enlighten me?  Elli

Re: Affiliates?

Go to www.tradedoubler.co.uk for an easy system.

Essesntially you sign up for an account and then choose the companies that you want to have adverts on your websites. If they agree (most do), you then copy and paste some coding into your website. Then your site will normally include a banner for the company (you can choose the actual banners). Then if someone visiting your site clicks on the advert and subsequently buys something you get paid the agreed amount (normally a % or fixed amount). You get paid into your chosen bank account every month, if you're earned a set amount of income. If not it rolls forward until you hit the amount (this is quite small about £20-30).

I use them as it's simple but there are others. The site contains more info.
