Whilst the debate rages on as to the use of social networking and business, a recent survey by email research specialists, Emedia shows that over 1 in 10 users of networking sites visit them for business purposes. Furthermore, a stunning 87% of all respondents think that social networking sites can be used for business purposes including networking, exchanging ideas, recruitment, research and selling. Interestingly, nearly 25% of all users log in every day to such sites with half of them logging in several times a day. The top 5 websites that respondents had heard of were MySpace, Youtube, Friends Reunited, FaceBook and Bebo.
